cheese please

Today’s adventure with Joanne was a quest for cheese – but not just any old cheese. She came back from Europe wanting to find a place that sold some of the best cheese she had while she was in Paris. She discovered Nicole’s Gourmet Foods in south Pasadena. So we were off…

Picture 1The place was quaint, with patio dining and a market inside selling all sorts of goods I’m pretty sure you can’t find anywhere else. I’m not a cheese expert so I had no idea what we were looking at, but Joanne bought two wedges that were around $8 a piece. Pretty pricey. She also bought a loaf of French bread (they offer Artisan bread), a jar of foie gras (which is liver? it’s supposed to be delicious), and a bottle of wine. I liked how they sold little French products, such as dish towels with chic designs. I think tonight I’m going over to Joanne’s to sample some of these cheeses complimented by the foie gras, bread, and wine. More updates to come!
