Well, technically it was July 22nd for people in Asia, so that was actually yesterday for them, but today for us. I was doing my routine morning blog and newspaper read over guava juice and toast. On the NY Times there was a blog post about the longest solar eclipse that has happened this century, and people in Asia got to see it. There’s different videos you can watch from broadcasts in Japan, China, and India. The clearest video is the one recorded in Japan. It’s pretty amazing. People in Nepal have bad superstitions about eclipses so all their schools were shut down. Weird, right?
Also, here’s an illustration I liked when I looked up the Playground Documentary by Libby Spears. (I read about it on Jill’s Facebook!)
Artwork in the movie is illustrated by Yoshitomo Nara. My favorite.
